On May 14, 2005, Vincent Haskovec’s life took an abrupt detour when he lost control of his race bike at speed and crashed horribly through a wall of used tires into a solid metal barrier.

Life threatening injuries left Vincent immobilized from the chest down, but for more than a year he’s pursued rehabilitation with the same vigor and focus that distinguished his popular racing career.

Today, Vincent works tirelessly with the skilled therapists at Arizona’s Neuro Institute, determined as ever to shift his life back to normal. Grateful to everyone who has helped him during this time of extraordinary challenge, Vincent hopes his fans will enjoy this website and use it as a way to stay in touch.  GetWellVincent@gmail.com

Known throughout the paddock as one of the friendliest and most enthusiastic cats in cowhide, the only thing Vincent misses more now than the competition are the fans and friends who continue to inspire him with an iron-willed determination to succeed.

Haskovec’s aggressive riding style contrasts sharply with his affable off-track demeanor and easy sense of humor . A favorite helmet design he sported for a long time featured a horned beast with an orange smiley face plastered on top, staring defiantly at whoever had his draft.

"I sincerely want to thank Jeff and Jennifer Kufalk and the Red Flag Fund for stepping up and taking on the challenge of raising funds to help racers who, like me, have had their lives turned literally upside down in the course of pursuing our passion. Never give up hoping and dreaming is my motto, and I really appreciate every bit of help so many friends and complete strangers have given from their heart." - Vincent
